End of the Year Report (2013) Artistic Prophet Studios

End of the Year Report (2013) Artistic Prophet Studios

Well... Here we are another year in the books. Artistic Prophet Studios... We started out in 1994 with many goals in mind and we can proudly say that every major goal has been achieved. We've been all over the world with this artwork and reached millions of people in 19 years.

It was our ultimate goal to leave a lasting legacy behind and continue our job and we're on schedule to do just that. "Windows of the Soul" THE ART - THE BOOK - THE CHAPEL
was always the main goal in mind.

After working with thousands of people in many different aspects of life with the artwork
(Here is just a short list of highlights we have post on the BIO page of our website such as the following:
 "
From his work with the legendary lead vocalist Jon Anderson from the progressive rock
group YES on collaborations in stained glass, to his masterfully styled prophetic oil paintings
or illustrations for album cover art, to artistic contributions to the Contemporary Youth Orchestra
of Cleveland for the HDNet Concert Series, or his contributions of artwork to the careers
of Kevin Max, (dc Talk/Audio Adrenaline), Kerry Livgren (Kansas/Proto-Kaw),
Julian Lennon and the Jimi Hendrix Music Academy.

Steven Kelso has lived a multifaceted adventure with an “Extra” part in the international blockbuster
movie Spiderman 2, filmed during one of his annual art exhibitions in the capital of the fine art world
New York, to his exhibitions in France, Italy and throughout the world participating in gallery
sponsored art expositions in Europe to the Far East.

Kelso's work can be seen in museums, galleries and educational institutions worldwide with the latest
edition of his work going on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle and Art Basel Miami."

It brings us full circle back to our hometown Indianapolis with our final goal.

We've achieved our permanent "Home" for our lasting legacy with the signature artwork
"Windows of the Soul" that we've in-dearly called throughout the years artwork for the
"Armageddon Travelers"... This safe house, (The Windows of the Soul Chapel) will be that place.

Our very first serious painting in fact, had that running title in 1986 so really the vision goes back even further however blurred it might on been then. So, with that being said we are on track to finish the last 4 canvas murals in the studio in 2014 and apply them to the chapel walls then.

2013 was a "wind down" year for us after the crazy activities from 2006-2012 which seen us at our most active stages trying to "pack it all in" so to speak.

Anyway what else can be said... We've enjoyed it and it has been special. We are almost there.
"Something's Coming" JC of course
as we've always said...

Keep the Faith.
Peace;
-steven

End of the Year Report (2012) Artistic Prophet Studios
 – Steven Kelso

2012 was another milestone year in creating the vision for the Windows of the Soul Chapel.
This year we reached out further to the community and staged 3 promotional events to inform the public. This summer we had an event at the American Legion Mall Music Festival. Another show was held at a local gallery featuring the artwork of the chapel and finally an “Opening Reception”  in September inviting the public to view the murals and learn about the Windows of the Soul Chapel first hand.
These 3 events reached thousands of people both new and old about what is going on in creating an environment conducive to Hope & Change. While we’ve stated the “Mission Statement” before… we also gave our moral commitment to clothe and feed all those who enter the chapel. The Dept. of Homeland Security even held classes in the chapel about disaster preparedness. Preparedness has always been the underlining statement from the beginning of this project and this chapel will be a shelter for those who wish to enter it in times of need.

Again, I want to thank Aaron Story for seeing the potential of the Windows of the Soul series. Aaron has been a great champion of my work along with the people of Indy Metro and they deserve a special mention in this end of the year report. Also, I would like to thank Wheeler Mission Ministries of Indianapolis for allowing me the privilege of installing the series and the project team captains Eric Gardner and
Brian Crispin with their help along the way.
In other news… I continued to work on other projects throughout 2012 with the “Legend Series” with Jon Anderson’s Zamran project with artwork and featured videos on his website. Also, with the
Jimi Hendrix Music Academy with 3 shows in Seattle promoting the academy showing work at the Seattle Convention Center, The Jimi Hendrix Memorial and Carco Theater. The academy mission statement is to serve inner-city youth with a safe and musical based learning center with emphasis on beautifying the environment with artwork featuring the music legend Jimi Hendrix.
...and finally an invitation to the most prestigious art show in North America with my entry into
(Art Basel Miami)
exhibiting my politically charged; "Our Healer of American Liberty"
about US President Barack Obama.

I also would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement. 2012 was the best sales year in studio history and without you and God I would not be able to do what I do. Thanks.
God Bless all of you for a beautiful 2013.
Peace

End of the Year Report (2011) Steven Kelso

Amazing… That’s the first word that comes to mind for 2011. I spent most of my energies on crafting my vision for the Windows of the Soul Chapel. Vision is the engine that accomplishes dreams. I believe with all my heart that if you believe in what you are doing and dream big and have goals then God will direct people into your life to help you.

While visiting the Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris in 1999, I had a vision to create a series of stained glass motif paintings entitled "Windows of the Soul" and that the series should be housed in a contemporary chapel and be made available to the public.

The Windows of the Soul Chapel has now found that permanent home and is in the process of
renovation. The installation of the artwork has begun and the chapel is open to the public
throughout the process so that it may connect with an ever-growing community of believers in
this sacred art series.

I want to thank Aaron Story for being a man of God and seeing the potential of the Windows of the Soul series. Aaron has been a great champion of my work along with the people of Indy Metro and they deserve a special mention in this end of the year report. Also, I would like to thank Wheeler Mission Ministries of Indianapolis for allowing me the privilege of installing the series and the project team captains Eric Gardner and Brian Crispin with their help along the way.

Work on the chapel will continue throughout 2012 and I look forward to working closely with the those mentioned individuals to accomplish a wonderful sanctuary for Wheeler Mission.

In other news I continued to work on other projects throughout 2011 both private residential and commercial in both the music and film industry.

I also would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement. 2011 was the best sales year in studio history and without you and God I would not be able to do what I do. Thanks.

God Bless all of you for a beautiful 2012.

Peace

Year End Report - Artistic Prophet Studios (2010)

First of all let me say a big “Thank You” to everyone here on Facebook. …who could of imagined 2010 would top 2009. Many new friends were made and new adventures experienced. It all started in January in Argentina with two shows in Buenos Aires and Cura Malal benefiting less fortunate children.

In March, we installed the first of three Jon Anderson Collection exhibits in New York.

Then on May 24... we installed the biggest of the three Jon Anderson Collection exhibits at Severance Hall in Cleveland. Jon Anderson’s biggest concert of the year with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra.
The cable network HDNet was there to film the whole event and subsequently asking to contribute graphics work on the broadcast. I met Jon’s beautiful wife Janee and attended the backstage party during intermission. The attendance for the show was just under 2000 and also managed a couple TV interviews with the local media in Cleveland.

Throughout the Summer I worked closely together with Juan Baez to coordinate the final Jon Anderson Collection exhibit in Chicago in August. I met with Jon backstage at sound check and he signed the exhibition poster and validated my work on Zamran and the stained glass panel as well, the pinnacle of our collaboration together.

In September we put a nice little bow on the exhibition year with a project together with Tina Hendrix at the Jimi Hendrix Music Academy with a benefit concert honoring the legend of Jimi Hendrix and with the permanent installment of one of the Hendrix Collection Series paintings at the academy.

Currently on the drawing board for the 2011, I will be starting a new project that will probably take the entire year of 2011. I have been commissioned to completely renovate a 2400 square foot historic chapel right here in Indianapolis with my stained glass paintings featured from my latest book Windows of the Soul.

Thanks again to all of you for the encouraging words and support throughout 2010.

Peace in God

Thank You - Artistic Prophet Studios - 2009 -Year in Review (Steven Kelso)

Thank You - Artistic Prophet Studios - 2009 -Year in Review (Steven Kelso)

First of all let me say a big “Thank You” to everyone here. 2009 was another amazing year. Many new friends were made and new adventures experienced. It all started in January and February right here in Indianapolis planning for my largest art exhibition in the downtown Indianapolis art district area in 10 years at the historical Athenaeum Theater hosted by Indy Metro.

In March, we installed the show filling the entire space with over 40 paintings. This gargantuan space with it’s 40 foot ceilings offered me a chance to exhibit some of my largest paintings, some measuring more than 12 feet. This Windows of the Soul: The Anthology exhibition was a great joy to display, sort of like a “Greatest Hits” show featuring work from the past 15 years or so. (See “Year in Review” pictures)
We did a TV interview with (NBC) WTHR Channel 13 and a couple of newspaper articles with the Indianapolis Star and Nuvo Newsweekly. Exhibition ran from March 15 through April 30

Then on May 7... I got an email from the Legendary Lead Vocalist of YES Jon Anderson asking to work on a project of his, converting his mural paintings into feasible and functional pieces of stained glass. I had met Jon at the Star Plaza Hotel in Merriville, Indiana along with his beautiful wife Janee five years earlier and talked about working together on some kind of art project together and I told him when the time was right for him to call. Well, of course Jon being very busy and working with so many people around the world went on his “Tour of the Universe” and “School of Rock” tours then with his unfortunate sickness sidelined him until this time. During his sickness he painted this huge mural and come up with the idea of turning it into stained glass.

Throughout the Summer of 2009 we worked closely together to come up with the very best product that we entitled, Dyerexus: The Zamran Glider. This stained glass panel was the pinnacle of our collaboration together and filled up most of my summer working with Fox Studios here in Indianapolis. During this time I began to receive bi-weekly emails from Jon laying out visual ideas about Zamran for which I did a total of 10 separate paintings and numerous drawings.

In September we put a nice little bow on our project together by offering a very limited number of stained glass panels and he began to work overtime with his music composing… while I put the finishing touches on my new book, “The Grand Vision”…

I finished “The Grand Vision” in October and released it on the newly formed format Adobe Reader eBook.
“The Grand Vision” is the last book in the trilogy series “Windows of the Soul”
Book 1 - Reflective Souls
Book 2 - Windows of the Soul
Book 3 - The Grand Vision

In November, I got an invite from Fernando Garcia in Buenos Aires, Argentina to come back to display some prints from the Mother and Child series for their Christmas show that runs through the rest of this year.
I have also put together a donation series of works for the White Feather Foundation run by
Julian Lennon and his camp and we will see where that goes…

Currently on the drawing board for the 2010, I will be starting a new series of works called:
“The Sacred Doors“ that should keep me busy for the long cold Winter here in Indy… along with scheduling dates for “The Grand Vision” tour with a hopeful return to New York in the spring or summer of 2010 for a presentation ceremony and exhibits at my home gallery there.

Who knows what the future holds. Time will tell… Thanks for the best sales year ever.
Zamran is Coming…
Thanks again to all of you for the encouraging words and support throughout 2009. Blessed.
Peace in God
